Past continuous and simple past to tell a surprise story
Correct sentences that have unclear grammar in them.
Professor Flemming spun a wheel, and a sentence was chosen that had unclear grammar, Professor Flemming had each student spin the wheel and receive a sentence and then fix the unclear grammar in the sentence.
When a student made a mistake, Professor Flemming did not give them the answer tight away, but told them the sentence was incorrect and let them have another chance.
This exercise was to prepare for error correction questions that would appear on the test.
Mr. Ryan said he do it very occasionally --> Mr. Ryan says said he does it very occasionally.
She fell down and I was laughing --> She fell down and I laughed.
Is your secret person is bald? --> Is your secret person bald?
You said no? --> Did you say no.
She say couldn't stand up. --> She said she couldn't stand up.
Is your secret person has glasses--> Does your secret person have glasses.
Does your secret person a man or a women --> Is your secret person a man or a woman.
It was I am playing with my friend --> I was playing with my friend.
Your monster is orange? Is your monster orange?
Past Continous Practice:

What you do when the accident occurred, I tried to change a lightbulb that had gone out
After i find the wallet full of money I go immediately to the police and turn it in
After i found the wallet full of money, I went immediately to the police and turned it in.
The doctors say that tom be too sick to go to work and that he need to stay home for a couple days
After some fill in the blank practice, Professor Flemming had students write a short story in past continuous and simple past, a surprise story.
Professor Flemming gives students 5 minutes to write and then shares his surprise story with students orally, while showing it visually on the screen.
